“We continue to be very busy, supporting both our 56 children and young people with significant caring responsibilities and their families. The past 10 months have been very difficult for us all but especially those with caring roles and without the usual respite that we offer.
We have kept in close contact with each YC2 family and young carer, we have provided monthly fun activity bags, emergency supplies, food, clothing, vouchers, helped with benefit claims, moving, illness, appointments, running small group sessions when we could. This Christmas time, each Young Carer has received an advent calendar at the start of December plus, being delivered in the run up to Christmas, a special gift bag bursting with presents, chocolate, games, books and vouchers that we have collected through donations and appeals.
We have included extra gifts for the other children and for our neediest families there will be food, hot meals and even (courtesy of Pregos), a hot Christmas dinner on the 25th!
We thank all our funders; every donation whether large or small is spent on supporting our young carers.
